The Dalecarlia wool blanket is inspired by Dalarna horses, kurbits and the ribbons found on Dalecarlia's beautiful folk costumes. The Dalecarlia has existed since the 17th century and is the most common symbol of Sweden and Swedish commoner culture. Kurbit painting emerged in Dalarna at the end of the 18th century and was common on both furniture and walls.
