Our Scandinavian acoustic panels from Wood On Walls are designed to be easy to install, whether placed on a wall or ceiling. Here you will find a clear and practical guide with recommended methods, tools and installation tips to achieve a professional and durable result.
Sound absorption class D
To achieve Class D sound absorption, the panel is mounted directly to the wall or ceiling. Use screws adapted to the substrate and choose a color that blends in with the acoustic felt for a discreet and hidden installation.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
Panels 2400 mm
– 15 wall mounting screws
– 30 ceiling mounting screws
Panels 2700–3000 mm
– 18 wall mounting screws
– 36 ceiling mounting screws
TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
– Circular saw
– Spirit level
– Screwdriver
– Carpet knife
– Measuring tape
– Screw
– Jigsaw (for electrical outlets)
– Curved file (for LED strips)
– Hole saw (for electrical outlets)
Sound absorption class A
To achieve sound absorption class A – the highest class – the acoustic panel should be mounted on 45 mm studs with 45 mm insulation placed behind the panels. The studs are installed with a centre distance of 600 mm on the wall and 300 mm on the ceiling for optimal acoustic performance.

Wall mounting with adhesive
The acoustic panels can also be attached directly to the wall using a quick-drying mounting adhesive. For best results, we recommend applying the adhesive in a generous, continuous bead – following the same pattern as shown in the illustration on the left.
